African and American Healthcare Foundation

Support

SUPPORT FOR THE FOUNDATION

The African and American Healthcare Foundation accepts tax-deductible donations in support of its charitable activities. In addition to cash the Foundation also accepts non-cash materials, equipment, sponsorships and endowments.

The Foundation has established an annual charity event that is organized for people to receive toys, gifts and information on healthful behaviors. Individuals and corporations may make specific donations towards this event. The Foundation will provide recognition to individuals and corporations that make a donation of $5000.00 or more in a single year towards the charity event.

In 2015, the Foundation re-evaluated its mission and the Board made a forward-looking decision to pay more attention to its goal of providing support for the training of smart students in the fields of education, medical sciences, engineering and technology. During the same time, the Board made another decision to increase the Foundation’s effort in knowledge and technology transfer to Nigeria. This new emphasis will guarantee that the Foundation will contribute to the training of new and additional experts that will support the goals listed in the divisions of the Foundation.

To achieve the Foundation’s goals, we are depending on the charitable spirit of well-meaning individuals and corporations. Donations made to the Foundation are used to fund many of the programs. The Foundation has also invested in partnerships with others to provide management services (for hospitals and Governments) for which the Foundation will be compensated.

The Foundation wishes to highlight the following programs in the coming years for charitable contributions

* Development and Management of Community Hospital

* Provision of proper education on child abuse prevention

* Communicable diseases prevention

* Educational scholarship for smart, eligible students for tertiary education

* Development of information network for mental health education

The Foundation continues to offer support to individuals and communities that are facing healthcare concerns, medical, behavioral and mental health.  Some on-going initiatives include help to purchase proper equipment to perform special procedures on patients, especially pregnant women,  purchase electricity-generating equipment to enhance electricity supply in  rural communities.

A donation to the Foundation will allow for the provision of  community outreach services  on proper utilization of healthcare and social services in the community.

The African and American Healthcare Foundation accepts donations of any amount. In an effort to make charitable giving easier for donors, we have partnered with a reputable technology company that has provided us opportunity to accept donations through the Internet. The Foundation has created a web portal through which donations to the Foundation may be made.

Consistent with the Foundation’s emphasis on education and training, we will accept donations that are targeted towards the continuing education of our healthcare workers. Our hospital physicians, nurses, administrators will benefit from the advanced education available in the United States of America, so we are always grateful if these professionals are sponsored to attend professional conferences, short-term educational programs and training in new methods of managing diseases.

Below is an outline of a program that the Foundation is seeking financial and technical support to implement

•The African and American Healthcare Foundation is introducing a mobile clinic initiative to bring behavioral health services to underserved communities in Westchester County, New York. This effort targets areas such as Yonkers, Mount Vernon, New Rochelle, White Plains, and Peekskill, where around 300,000 individuals face significant healthcare barriers. Currently, only 30% of the demand for services in these areas is being met, highlighting the urgent need for a solution.

•This initiative aligns with the Foundation's commitment to delivering patient-focused care and improving community health. We are well-positioned to address these challenges with over 15 years of experience and partnerships with local organizations. By bringing services directly to neighborhoods through mobile clinics, we reduce obstacles like geographic distance and systemic barriers, offering a unique approach that other providers lack.

•A $500,000 initial investment will support the purchase of mobile units, staff hiring, and outreach efforts. Revenue is projected to grow steadily, reaching a break-even point by the third year and generating a surplus by the fifth. By the third year, the program aims to achieve an 80% patient satisfaction rate and make measurable improvements in health outcomes in the communities served.

•The primary goal is to ensure equitable access to behavioral health (and physical medicine) services, bridging care gaps, and improving lives. If successful, this initiative will enhance community trust, position the Foundation as a leader in healthcare innovation, and provide a model for expanding services across the state. By focusing on high-need areas, this program is not just necessary but transformative, aiming to reshape how behavioral health care is delivered to underserved populations.

Why we should support this project

1.Positive Impact: It will help people in high-need neighborhoods by bringing care directly to them.

2. Strategic Purpose: The project aligns with broader goals like reducing emergency room visits and improving access to preventive care.

3. Strong Financial Plan: The break-even point in three years is realistic, with profits expected soon after.

4. Community Support: Partnering with 10 local organizations makes the program more effective and trusted by the community.
